Music has always been a major part of my life. I studied violin for 19 years, including at a college level, and piano for 15 years. I also sang in and accompanied for choirs throughout my teenage years and had a wonderful experience singing in the BYU Women’s Chorus. In 2014, I graduated from BYU with a degree in Music Education. During my college years, I performed regularly with the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra and became a Suzuki certified teacher. Upon graduation, I accepted a full-time position as Orchestra Director at Centennial Middle School in Provo. I was the director of their 4 orchestras for 2 years, helping my students receive superior ratings at local festivals.
I have enjoyed teaching private lessons for the past 11 years and helping my students grow as musicians and receive college music scholarships. I currently perform as a violinist with the Utah Millenial Choirs and Orchestra. As part of this organization, I perform regularly in Abravanel Hall and also had the incredible opportunity to perform in the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City. I also perform regularly on the piano with my students and as a choir accompanist.
I live with my husband and two kids in Herriman.
